Week 8 EOC: Oscars vs. Super Bowl

New York Times Commercial
The New York Times Airs Commercial Promising Truth in the Time of President Trump During Oscars

Cadillac Commercial
Lost among all the ‘Best Picture’ snafu commotion was a couple of pretty solid commercials from Cadillac, in its third consecutive year of a marketing partnership with Hollywood’s biggest night. Two of the ads in particular caught our eye

Audible Voices Commercial
Audible is best known for selling audiobooks as well as offering other online audio content such as podcasts and curated channels, with some exclusive content reserved for Amazon Prime subscribers.

World of Hyatt Commercial
Audible is best known for selling audiobooks as well as offering other online audio content such as podcasts and curated channels, with some exclusive content reserved for Amazon Prime subscribers.

Walmart Commercial
Armed with six items on a Walmart shopping receipt, the filmmakers were told to go out and make a one-minute spot using those props.

During the super bowl we saw commercials that were selling products or sending a message to everyone around the world. The types of brands that were seen during the super bowl were Tiffany and Co., Air BnB, Intel and Bud Light. Even though the brands were similar their message was styled differently during the Oscars.
